I finally got around to seeing Harry Potter last night; I was pretty satisfied with it. I had just reread the book, so of course I had to notice everything that was missing, but for the most part I was happy with the film. I was also really excited to see the trailer for Where the Wild Things Are, which was my favorite book when I was younger. The movie looks great; the filming looks superb, the lighting is beautiful and very sunset-y, the music is nice, and the monsters look good too :]

I wasn't sure I was okay with this film being made...but the previews have completely won me over!

ReplyDeletei saw the preview seeing harry potter as well!! and i loved hp so much i went and saw it again today :) haha. I didnt read where the wild things are as a child but I want to see the movie, it looks really good!!
ReplyDeleteI was annoyed at everything they cut out too. The whole battle didn't exist, bill wasn't bitten, the white tomb chapter was gone - no scrimgeour even! ah. But they did very well to get everything in that they did in 2 1/2 hours :)
