I just completed a major art project for school, and it has been such a huge weight lifted off of my shoulders. I'm really satisfied with how it turned out, and it put me in a really great mood so I thought I would reward myself and just browse some of my favorite illustrators online. I found the site of Cedric Rivrain, an amazing fashion illustrator whose work is often in Nylon and Numero magazines. He really captures the color and movement in clothes and models, better than any photograph could. Here are my favorites from his work, but you can see the rest at cedricrivrain.com .

Time and time again
My birthday is coming up next week...just a few things on my wishlist I'd thought I'd share. It's not too large of a list, because part of my present is going to see The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway this weekend!
PS Isn't this photograph so striking? I had found it saved away and just came across it, the model's eyes are so frightening and beautiful at the same time, just thought I'd share it.

Character
I'm entering a photo contest in my region, so I'm planning on being out this week snapping some local photographs. If they turn out well, I may post some soon.

Happiness
I'm in an unusually good mood today...the weather is so nice and I'm just sitting outside enjoying the sunshine and the flowers and loving life at the moment. Prom is tomorrow so I'm enjoying a stress free day before that. I just found these photos of Joni Mitchell, whose music I have been loving a lot lately. She has the greatest smile!

Cultural color
While I was in California, I was fortunate enough to visit Lisa Kristine's photography gallery in Sonoma. I was absolutely blown away: her photography is stunning. She travels all over the world and captures cultures through her photography. Her photos are so colorful and bold, and I love seeing the different patterns and textures. When I did a little research I found that she insists on using natural light and often waits hours to capture her scene illuminated in the way she wants. The huge framed photos in the gallery were very out of my price range, but her work is so appealing to me that it is definitely something I would save up for in the future.

Reminders
This is a photo I took at this huge garage sale I go to anually with my aunt. I've been looking for the perfect pair of cowboy boots for so long, and garage sales are a great place to find them, but I ca never find them in my size so I have yet to get a pair. I love the look of cowboy boots worn with denim shorts or floaty dresses in the summer.
Sorry for the lack of posting lately, I promise I'll have some longer and more interestig posts coming soon! I've been busy lately but life is very good at the moment.
